What is Moon and Seeds?

Moon and Seeds is a nature school for families seeking more joy, more nature, and more soul in their child’s education.
Based in the Bronx, we are a nature-based homeschool co-op rooted in Earth rhythms, cultural pride, and community care. Children learn through movement, story, art, nature, and mindfulness—guided by the seasons and grounded in ancestral wisdom.

Who is Moon and Seeds for?

Families seeking a heart-centered, Earth-rooted alternative to traditional school.
Children ages 4–7 who thrive with play, movement, nature, and rhythm.
Parents who value cultural identity, emotional wellness, and community connection. *Other ages may be considered.

When do we meet?

  • Fall 2025 Launch

  • 4 days/week: Tuesday through Friday

  • Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

  • This is a seasonal program aligned with nature’s rhythms. We take intentional breaks for winter and holidays.

🌕 About the Guide: Meet Dee

I’m Dee—mama of three, master’s-level health educator, certified yoga teacher, NYBG instructor, and the creator of Moon and Seeds. I’ve spent years guiding wellness for families, writing grants to support community healing, and homeschooling my own little ones with rhythm, reverence, and nature at the center.

I created this program because I wanted something different for our children—something more rooted, more joyful, more aligned. A place where they can learn without being rushed or boxed in. A space that honors spirit, curiosity, and culture.

The name Moon and Seeds speaks to that vision.
The seeds remind us of what’s planted—our children, our dreams, our roots in the Earth.
The moon reminds us of what’s possible—growth, change, rhythm, intuition, and expansion.

From the Earth to the stars, we learn in rhythm with nature, spirit, and the world around us.

Here, your child will be seen, supported, and celebrated.

This isn’t just a homeschool program.
It’s a love offering—for our children, our nervous systems, our joy, and our future.

We gather outdoors at green spaces across the Bronx, including:

  • Indian Field Park (Woodlawn)

  • Nearby forest trails and nature spots like NYBG and Wave Hill

  • Local museums for cultural enrichment and seasonal inspiration

  • Occasional indoor meetups at the Noble Alkhemy Healing Arts Studio and NYBG during seasonal transitions (TBD)

Moon and Seeds is a nature-based homeschool co-op for children ages 4–7, rooted in rhythm, play, wellness, and culture. If you're feeling called to explore this path, we'd love to learn more about your child and family.

Tuition: $440/week per child
Or save with seasonal enrollment — discounted rates available when you book the full season in advance.
