Enlightenment of b.i.g.
This particular piece was a follow up to my Biggie Buddha or I should say the prequel. This piece was inspired by an image of iconic Rap Artist Biggie Smalls starring at a wad of money. In my reimagine of it I show Biggie at the very moment of enlightenment when he is mesmerized by the blossoming of the 1000 petal lotus in his palms. The thousand-petaled lotus signifies spiritual illumination and the opening of the petal is the gradual unfolding of the consciousness on the path of enlightenment. His 3rd eye is now opened. This piece started as a digital illustration and evolved into one of my greatest mixed media works.
